Help & Support

Tumanina is a simple, offline Islamic wellness companion. Most questions are answered below. If something isn't covered, reach out by email.

Getting started

How do I use the app?

Pick an emotion on the Home screen. Tumanina will show you a Qur'anic verse for that feeling, classical tafsir commentary, a related hadith, a reflection, practical steps you can check off, a full du'a, and related verses.

How does audio recitation work?

Tap the play button on a verse to hear the recitation. The first play may take a few seconds to buffer; after that, your phone caches the audio.

Choose your reciter in Profile → Reciter. Mishary Alafasy is the default; you can also pick Abdurrahman As-Sudais or Mahmoud Al-Husary.

Why won't audio play?

Audio streams from everyayah.com. Make sure you have an internet connection. If the problem persists, close and reopen the app.

Features

How do I save a verse?

Tap the bookmark icon in the top-right of any guidance screen. Saved verses appear on the Saved tab. Tap any saved card to return to the full guidance.

How do I write a journal entry?

At the bottom of any guidance screen, tap Journal this feeling. A sheet opens where you can write and save your thoughts. Entries appear grouped by month on the Journal tab.

Do practical steps save my progress?

Yes. The steps on each guidance are tappable. Your progress is saved per guidance — even if you close the app. Completing steps also increases your "Completed Actions" counter in Profile.

How do I switch languages?

Profile → Language. Tumanina supports English and Arabic. The app re-orients right-to-left for Arabic, with proper Arabic typography throughout.

Privacy & Data

Does the app collect my data?

No. Tumanina does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Everything you do — journal entries, bookmarks, progress — is kept on your device only. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete all my data?

Profile → Reset Data → confirm. This immediately and permanently removes every journal entry, bookmark, and setting. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.

Can I back up or transfer my data to another device?

Not currently. All data is device-local and does not sync to the cloud. This is a deliberate privacy choice.

Content

Where does the content come from?

Verses are from the Qur'an (Sahih International translation). Tafsir is paraphrased from classical sources (Ibn Kathir, As-Sa'di, Ibn al-Qayyim). Hadith are from canonical collections — Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan an-Nasa'i, and Musnad Ahmad — with full citations.

I noticed an error in a verse or hadith. How do I report it?

Please email ano090482@gmail.com with the emotion, the surah/hadith, and a description of the issue. Accuracy matters deeply and corrections are welcomed.
